“Race Day” was exhibited in the Wild & Free Exhibit at Creative Spirit in Marblehead from June 1 – July 28, 2019, and was purchased by a local Marblehead collector. I feel the most wild & free when I am racing sailboats. This painting depicts the Marblehead IOD fleet sailing an upwind beat during MRA racing on Saturdays in the summer and embodies the feeling of sailing fast and being “wild & free” on the ocean.
